Inspiration from your home

Over at TioT we got to pick something from our home whats inspire us. I picked my wallpaper from my craft room. I just love my yellow wallpaper, it feels sunny there all the time. My image&sentiment is WFC and will link this card to EIC as well, where you got to pick an inspiration from XS Baggage Co. I could pick few thing from the shop. 

 I really love this image and to make it stand out I stitched the sun ray

Paper Cupcakes DT card

Good morning my dear blogging friends. For a change I've got a card to blog on time lol I have to pull myself together and do things in time. I blame the weather. Looks like spring is here and it's just nice to be outside. Few times I went out in the last wef weeks to colour my images on the patio, we got South faceing garden and it's always warmer on the patio then anywhere else, just love it.

Well anyway, here is my Paper Cupcakes card

 Over at There's Magic In The Air by Paper Cupcakes the theme is flowers. I have use Easter Lillys, I love lillys.. The DP/BP on my card is from my stash like everything else. The WA is TLC creations. I wanted to emphasize those gorgeous flowers so once was coloured them I drew over it with fine line pen and framed the card with the same black pen. Inside I used the left over paper when I die cut it and inside I drew a frame with the black fine liner.

Few DT creations and High Hopes Challenge

I had a very hectic week. After 4 month not having oven finally got my new cooker this week. I chose a 5 burner dual cooker which cosed a bit of problem lol we needed new cable, poor carpenter had to do extra day to sort it out and it wasn't planed. Adrian wasn't pleased either as he had to pay more money out. I had to reorganise my kitchen cos I lost cupboard space and had to dust everything after my stuff gone back into their new space. I was sooooooooo tired in the last few days had no energy to blog my projects and top of everything I had 2 bad nigh sleep one just had bad dreams and the other Mesi slept with us and she was kicking me in the back lol Friday and Saturday I was like a floppy vegetable lol completely useless

Ok enough of my gobbing

My 1st project is my TioT altered frame. How many of you throw away the frames what comes with the school photo. I kept it, Adrian just told me "Why are you keeping the rubbish again" I just though I give a goo and try to alter it. I think it's turned out quiet nice. Insid the background is TLC Creations and WA as well. I painted it with white acrylic and  crackle paint and before my paint dried I put a bit of glitter in it. The handle and the side is macrame. I completely forgot abt macrame when last week I was leaving comments on blog and came across with a card with macrame knot on it, unfortunately I forgot which blog was it. I just used the plain knots it was such a fun to get this old knowledge out. You should see what the DT come up with too.

My 2nd card is my Delicious Doodles DT card and the theme: Something for Mum. I chose this pretty WA from DD and the paper is from Pascale's pad. Water coloured the image and used few of my roses from stash. To finish it off I cut a Mariann swirl and few flat pearl. Pop over the blog and have a look what the DT come up with.

 Side view shows you better all that dimension's going on.

 My 3rd card is my High Hopes card. Their theme is Material. I made this card for their last challenge but I forgot to enter it lol BUT luckily fits the bill for this fortnights challenge too lol I used one of my new stamp from them, he is gorgeous. The flowers are material and it's from my stash and got that lovely lace underneath too. I have water coloured him  and my DP/BP is from stash too. The green/brown paper is kitchen paper towel and I kept it when I was spraying my images with shimmer spray.

Dont forget there will be a new realise on the 7th Aprial and a blog hop too with pize so keep your eye opend. Not long ago I won the grand prize $100 worth of High Hopes stamps

A tutorial and Sassy Cheryl's card

I'm gonna start with my Sassy Cheryl card. It's Colour me in #16  and on the Challenge blog the theme is: Something new it is a new image after all. I couldn't get both image this week and I had to choose, so I picked the gorgeous Button Flowers bag and a very simple sketch from CDAC sketch challenge. I fell in love with this simple and clean sketch so further -a-do here is my card

 When I took the pick I forgot to colour underneath the bag but I still show you as colours on this much better then above. It was getting dark when I took it outside and by the time I finished colouring it was completely dark so had to take pic inside with flash on. As you can see I paper pieced it. I printed on the green patchwork DP and on the purple patchwork DP then cut the needed bits out. The DP is from TLC Creations Spring/Easter club and WA is from there too. The swirls are one of the freebie from TLC Creations.

Here you can see that the button is glitter glued but before I put the glue on I made holes on the heart button and when it was dry I put a shiny purple thread through

On one of the forum where I go sometimes one of my friend asked me if I could do a tutorial for her how my images hanging off my die cut, so Betty here you go this is for you

1st step: Get your die and position it over yr image and draw lines inside the die next to the image (some ppl like to drew all the way round but fore enough just little line to indicate where I need to cut)

 Step 2: See  the little lines at the bunny's ear, that show me I got to cut it all the way down to the line to be able to slide my die underneath. Cut from above with one strait line then cut to the right and left to go round the ears. Next 2 picture shows you how

Step 3: once you cut it down the line place your die over the image and make sure the ears (the bit what's gonna hang over the die) is above the die cut so you not cutting the ears off when you put it into your machine.  Sorry for the bad picture quality I didn't realised it till I uploaded my pic onto PC

 Here is a pick from the back so you see how I cut it and how the die got to be before die cutting

 And woala my image after die cutting read to put it on the card.. I hope this little tutorial is clear enough if not let me know which part and I'll correct it. The finished card is one post below.

Paper Cupcakes DT card,TioT DT card, Baby Bud DT card and Delicious Doodles DT card

OMW I forgot to hit publish on my post and now I have to do all in one. How did I do it no idea. Maybe to excited that I'm gonna have my 5 burner dream cooker. It's been 4 month since our oven broke down and Adrian just bought the new one over a week ago and it's coming tomorrow (Tuesday). Carpenter is coming in the morning to re size my cupboards as I had only a 4 burner cooker but getting a Ranger Master cook was my dream, so he got it for me. You have no idea how happy I'm. Time for me to learn to bake too as kids bigger now and I don't mind them eating cake at wknds. Alfie already asked if we can make muffin and I told him next week when he's off for Spring holiday we can make some cupcakes probably  apple and cinnamon ones and maybe a cheese and bacon one as Adrian doesn't like cooked fruit, now how silly is that

Anyway I stoped chatting so much and onto my Paper Cupcakes card where we had a recipe to fallow: pink,green and yellow this is a fab combo and her is my card I kept the hole layout simple as the BP is busy. The BP/DP and the WA is from TLC Creations

 On the image I used my cloud stamp to make the image more real.

Over at TioT the theme was Inches min 3. I was so glad to be able to use my inch stamps from  and I used the kids letter stencil too lol

At Delicious Doodles the theme was Flowers. I used the iris image from Teri's shop and Pascale's(who is are sponsor for this week) iris paper. I just wish you could see this in real life, the picture does not show justice. I have tried to take as many pic as possible to show you. I merged the image and paper and printed an extra iris off so I Was able to 3D it. I was gonna ad bit's and bobs but when I finished it just wanted the main iris to be the middle off the attention. It's a simple card I love it. The WA is TLC Creations 

 Inside, the verse been googled

 and a side view, that little dimension just made it really nice and of course the paper from Pascale just tops it up.

My last card is my Baby Bud card. I have used the free image Baby Bell in my CraftArtist program I flipped her you can check out rest of the gang here and. The paper is TLC Creations Spring/Easter club and MUM just been printed off

Paper Cupcakes DT and Sassy Cheryl's Colour me challenge

Good Morning. Got few minuts to post before I take Alfie to his swimming lesson. First like to show you my Paper Cupcakes tag. This week is a Vintage tag/card week and a freebie as well. When I Was using this flower I wasn't so sure it's gonna turn out the way I wanted it but it has so I'm happy with the effect

Delicious Doodle DT card and Wax Fruit Co challenge

Over at Delicious Doodles is challenge #17. And the theme is 3D, this is easy, I'm sure we all 3D our cards now days one way or other. For this project I used the ship image, just perfect for 3D effect. I had to print it off few times to colour it for this design but I love the effect. The only thing is next time if I do anything like this I have to do bigger zig-zag for the side to show the effect better. The paper I used is TLC Creations and the WA inside the ship too the bottom sentiment is from on-line. Ah just remembered I used 2 kind of paper and the top is MCS CD

Well here is my card

For my Wax Fruit Co card I have used this gorgeous set of tulips and TLC Creations papers. After cutting my image out I had a few left over strip of paper. I was going to through it in the bin but after fiddling with it while I was watching I ended up with a knot and I thought it would look fab on the card, so it ended up on the ribbon. See even the little strip of paper what we would normaly through away can be used lol

 I paper pies the tulips and slightly I raised it with glue gel

 I just love this paper knot
