My washing powder box

I made this box for my 16 years old guest who's staying with us for 5 weeks. I thought it's a nice little welcome presie.
I'm sure loads of you using tablets washing powder. I kept the box and decorated it. Very easy!
Get some paper and tear it up. Get PVA glue and a brush and start to stick it on the box (just like you do paper mache). Once all sides done and dry time to decorate.
I used some flower fairies chipboard, flower fairies match it, Cute Companion mice, flower punches and ribbon from stash.
Top of the box
Side view where the card is open. I went one step further and to save time I made a wellcome card atteched to the box.
Front of the card where I put my guest's name DORI.
This is the back of the box which is the card in the same time. The topper is the match it by Princes Pinflair. They just brill.

Tuesday Taggers Challenge

I'm loving Tuesdays Taggers Challenge. This week challenge was "Stamp It". We have to use stamps as much as we want. I love my swirl stamps and my High Hope stamps.
I didn't make this very fancy, I think sometimes less is more.
I have used my flower & corner/border punches to decorate my card and I used bit of ribbon flower from stash. I have cut out a rectangle for a window and stuck acetate behind.
Inside I just done a bit of matting and layering and used my corner/border punch to decorate my corners.

Daddy's Father Day's card

Wendy's sketch challenge 23
Wendy gave us this sketch and for Tuesday taggers we had to make a Macho man and I had to make Father's Day card for my kids to give daddy so I put the 3 in one. I love it when I can combine the challenges.
For this card I used Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD1. As a Macho man he is not my cup of tea I have to say but I'm sure in the 30' he was among the top ;-)
I printed a bit of backing paper and used other backing paper from my stash. Usually I'm scared to use patterned paper but I love the way this turned out.
For inside I used the leftovers and a nice verse from one of my book I got which I printed on vellum and edged it with cats eyes olive green chalk ink. I love tearing my papers and edge it with ink, I think just gives that last touch to the card and no need to use peel off.

Card I made for the competition

Well I dared to enter the Creative Cardmaking competition. Had to use any Cute Companion collection. Took me ages to make it for same reason my mojo gone and still think something is missing but had to post it so had no time to think whats missing lol
For the front I used the flower what we had to use on Wendy's sketch challenge. I just love that flower. I cut the middle out and stuck acetate behind it, stuck a ribbon on it and top of it a pink flower. I stamped out 2 mice on shrink plastic and used it on the ribbon.
For inside I made up a tree, my 1st one. Looked through my stamps and found the trunk and the foliage so just had to put it together. I think the tree turned out OK. The background is from the cute companion CD and I cut it out and painted sky for it.
I mounted the tree and the 2 mice on foam pad and stuck 3 butterfly stickers together to make it 3D

My Lucky Bag

I ordered a Lucky Bag from Funky Kits. It was £9.99 once I received my goodies I thought it was a bargain for that price.

The stapms are:
Hand made for you
Angus the wee Dog
So sweet
Summer Nellie
Meggie with a stick & accesories
Scattering Love
Made with love
Nuts

Fathers day card

This is a quick Fathers day card to father in law. Probably took me 5 minutes to make it. I had everything in my stash.
The decoupage got quite a few layers on. I didn't take pic of inside because it was just a simple vellum with a little tag on it saying "BEST DAD"

Tusday Taggers

I made a tag for the Tuesday Taggers challenge http://www.tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com/. The theme for last challenge was BIGHT&BOLD but didn't manage to post it in time. When I read the new theme I was thrilled because I used materials from my cupboard. I used to work for a lady who had material sample books and she was throwing some away, I saved them. I used it to brighten up my old jeans too.

I have used the same type of material through out project. Sorry the glue still not dry as you can see.

The stamp is stamped with red stazon. The stamp is from PaperArtsy

To make my tag a bit funky I made a flower top instead of the regular top, then I made a small blue flower for middle which is secured with a pink flower eyelet. For the petals I used glitter and I used glitter for the dragonfly's wing too. I placed the stamped image off center I used a piece of orange material for layering, for extra decoration I used beads on both side.
