January Card Swap

At Crafters Companion forum we do all sorts of swaps one of them is the card swap. Janette the hostess gave as Egyptian theme. I have picked my images, I was happy as I can use my Egyptian CD what I hardly ever use. In the end had my images printed but still gave me such a head ache. I got one idea and then I decided don't like it, so for ages I was blank till one night suddenly got the lightning and these are what come up with
Recipe for this 2 project
Joanna Sheen Egyptian Adventure CD
Mirri board
Beads
Gold thread
Nesty rectangle label
I printed out all sorts of toppers, backing paper, 3D parts. I printed everything onto 160 gsm card. The backing paper was folded in half to use it as A6 card.
This is my 1st card. The front is a folded Little book. The little book is made out of 1 printed sheet, no cutting just folding.
The little book opened. to keep the book closed I stuck a bead on the front and under the book a small bit of golden string. Inside the card.
We always got to write something abt us and pop it into the card. I hid it behind the image.
My 2nd card is a tunnel card.
This is the side view of my tunnel
Front of my card. The image is layered on gold mirri what was cut out with my nesty and the other image just edged with gold pen. With my gold pen I coloured a bead what keeps my card close
This is the inside. I had to give a bit of spine for this card as the inside holds the tunnel card and that's makes it bulky. The top bit the left overs been used.

Tuasday Taggers vs Spoon Full of Sugar vs Saturday Spotlight.

Over at TT the given task was use your left over. Easy peasy lemon squizy. Which crafter hasn't got leftover and I just used 0.0001% of my left overs lol
This is my 1st time entering A Spoon Full of Sugar where we had to use "Lots of Layers" and over at Saturday Spotlight LET THE SUNSHINE IN!!
Recipe for this project

Notebook
Left over papers
Button, ribbon&flower from stash
The stamped image was given to me
Water colour pencils
Wizard & fancy label
I've got so many little bits of pretty papers and using them was great fun. I had just a little "L" shape green paper, abt 1"x1" yellow paper, triangle flower paper, strip of vellum, flower backing paper, strip of yellow stripy paper, bit of yellow card for the label and I used the left over from the label. This little cute image was given to me and thought I use it on this note book. I didn't feel like to make a card but I really wanted to decorate my notebook where I'm gonna write in verses, poems, sayings etc
I tried to use yellow to symbolise the Sun to fit in with Saturday Spotlight.

High Hopes Challenge in a box

Over at High Hopes the theme is: Spacey colours!!! Did give me a bit of head ache this theme but when I went through my stamps and seen Raindrops Ribbit I thought I got it lol This box was such a fun to make and soooooooo quick too. One of my friend on Crafters Companion posted a link for this box. I just had to make it.
Recipe for this project
High Hopes Raindrops Ribbit
Fluid chalk ink pad: -Blue Lagoon
-Ice Blue
-Olive pastel
Versa Magic: Hint of Pesto
Kaleidacolor: Fresh Green
Shakura glaze pen: -Green
-Blue
-Yellow
-Orange
Yellow chalk
Lace ribbon
Gem from stash
2 12x12 paper
Glitter Girls Deco Art board
For my colouring I used all sorts. I had to colour little Ribbit with my Shakura glaze pen. I stamped out him 2 more times on the purple paper and an the blue and cut his coat and flower out. The stalk of the flower been coloured with Kaleidacolour ad the middle of the flower and rain drop glaze pen as well. the back grand been coloured with the fluid chalk ink pad and in the end I draw some grass with my glaze pan
I thought the top needs some fancy decoration and I thought of my Glitter Girl's board. For the middle I stamped part of Ribbit out few times.
I have backed 2 12x12 paper to make sure it's sturdy enough. I decorated with lace and some gem and of course my coloured topper
And now my stamped image swaps home lol

Crafters Companion Challenge

Oh boy I didn't pay attention when I was making my card for this challenge and the previous one I entered into 6 challenge and I forgot we are not supposed to. Oh well I had to make a new card. Do I feel sorry for my self?! Oh NO I played with my new CD Popcorn Romance so hopefully the 2nd go is OK now.
Recipe for this project
Get Popcorn Romance CD by Crafters Companion
Get some embellishment
My Craft Studio comes handy too
Hand printed sentiment
I've done a side shot so you can see the depth of this invertage. I made my sketch and I just played. When I cut the circles out had to be careful how the hearts stand on it as I didn't wanted to end up having them all over the place

The sentiment was done in paint shop, I just found out few days ago how to do it and I'm loving it lol

For inside I printed out insert with a verse on it but I printed an other topper what I used for pop up.
I took a pic from the top too as from front can't be seen the whole image.

5 challenge in 1 and my DT work for Crafters Companion

The five challenges as fallows:

  1. Tuesday Taggers: Tag it with birds
  2. Colour Create: Kraft, Blue and Withe
  3. Saturday Spotlight: No Hearts (grrrr I was to late silly me)
  4. Passion for Pro Markers: Cool Aqua&Cocoa
This week Rachel asked for orange/yellow being used on our cards, these colours might brighten up our gloomy winter days. I had fun with this will see how my OH gonna like this on the 14Th of February. I just realized got a silly mistake on it but I won't tell you what but do have to correct it lol
Recipe for this project:
Crafters Companion Love CD
Pro Markers
Ribbon&flower from stash
Doyle paper
High Hopes stamp:Love birds
White souffle pen
This is my sketch. My 1st one and not hand drawn :-) just learned how to do it. Cool eh?
Well over at Saturday Spotlight you can't use heart so I covered it up with label ( I was doodling with this card so I posted to late), which made this suitable for Tuesday Taggers. I have coloured my Love birds with my new pro markers(Amber, cocoa, cinnamon, caramel and cool grey 1&2). The Doyle paper's flowers were coloured, with khaki and used my white souffle pen for the middle ( had to make sure Colour Create challenge fits in this too lol )
The edge of circles been coloured with pro-markers(I haven't got cool aqua so I used artic blue) and I made the label in photo shop, I just learned that too lol The love birds from High Hopes and they sooooooo cute. The little label is hand drawn and coloured it with pro-markers (sunflower&amber) and just made a little bow for it.
This flower is absolutely hand made and. I drawn petals in my paint shop and the middle too, coloured it with pro-markers (amber, buttercup&sunflower).
Inside I wanted a bit different as it's gonna be my OH Valentine card from kids, so made it a pop up card and carried the colour theme inside too.
Here is the side view

Have a nice day

Two quick cards

Over at Crafters Companion forum we had a live crafting. I love these evening crafting and chatting to my crafty :-) friends. Ellen had the instructions but I cheated as I printed out patterned papers an I didn't do second layers as I thought this card is brill without matting and layering. I even printed some little toppers out as well.
The recipe for this project
Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit Cd
Nesty label 9
Splash of Tim Holtz distress ink: Peeled Paint
As I said earlier I printed few papers out what I though would go together, sentiments and some embellishment from the embellishment section. The instructions were clear and simple (except us we were so not their, poor Ellen must of thought she's got a bunch of loonies lol)
I have printed balloon backing paper what I use as an insert. For inside one of the topper was cut with my nesty and coloured the edge with the ink.
My 2Nd card was a "quick" birthday card. Usually I don't need to watch videos to assembly my card but here I had to, cos my cupcake just did not wanted to work.

Recipe for 2Nd project

MCS Celebration volume 1
Jenigami freebie from www.jenigami.weebly.com
Glitter

I have printed some pretty papers from MCS and changed the colour on it to suite me. I made my base than I started to cut&assemble my cupcake. Well once I watched the video I made the cupcake in no time. For the back I got a label from MCS and again changed the colour to my taste (nice chocolate colour yummy lol ) and wrote the sentiment on it. I cut few cupcakes out from the topper sheet and put bit of glitter on it.
Now before you ask how to post. Well this lady incredible cleaver you can close it. It is soooooooo wicked. You will need large stamp on the letter but can be posted.
Thanks for looking.

Tuasday Taggers vs High Hopes

At High Hopes Nikki gave us this sketch to work with so I combined it with Tuesday Taggers where the theme was Black&White

Recipe for this project:
  • Take your High Hope stamps in my case it's the birds
  • Get your Tim Holtz Distress ink: Black soot.
  • Some clear embossing powder
  • Black and white paper. I used some left over
  • Button & ribbon from stash
  • Black glitter oh yes that as well
  • Paper doyleys
  • Grey Green pro-marker

Just a close up of that cute little bird whos abt to land on my flower.

Fallowing Nikki's sketch this is what I come up with.
1st I stamped the small bird in black then I embossed it.
On my 2nd paper I stamped the small bird with clear embossing ink then I embossed it with clear embossing powder and finished the paper off distressing it with my Tim Holtz ink. I love my Tim Holtz inks. The top doyley paper's edge was distressed. The big bird stamped and embossed then coloured with Grey Green pro-marker. The flower embellishment was drawn by me and using the quicky glue pen I glittered the edge of the petals and the middle too.

Inside I made tags and decorated my left over paper and few toppers I printed out.
My insert is paper doyley too what I edged with my distress ink. On my insert I made a stamping mistake what I covered up doodling round the sentiment :-) I hate it when I just put on the finishing touches and I mess it up.

Coloure Creat Challenge vs High Hopes

Lets bring it on! Here we go my 1st challenge for this year and many many more to come. At Colour Create Challenge Blog the theme is: LEMON&LIME additional SPRING or SUMMER FLOWERS. I do have flower but not in the above colour. I had to make a birthday card for today as Alfie was invited to a birthday party. This stamp suited this colour skim perfectly. At High Hopes the theme is: Put a bow on it! When I seen it I thought how perfect this is. This card what I made few days ago just perfect for this challenge. This was the 1st time i inked this little dragon up and definitely not the last.
The recipe for this project
  • Take a backing paper with Happy Birthday on it mine is from Paper mania
  • After, have your chosen card and stamp your image out, in my case it's High Hopes Make a Wish
  • Colour it. I coloured with my NEW Pro-Markers. Colours for the dragon are: Lime Zest, Bright Green, Salmon Pink & Grey Green, for the fire: Crimson&Hot Pink, for the cake: Hot Pink, Pink Carnation, Cerise, Tulip Yellow, Crimson & Bright Green. I used Sandstone to do shadow under dragon and cake. For the sky I used blue chalk and for the base I used brown and green.
  • Next cut your image out with your nesties I used Label 9
  • Dig into your stash and get some ribbon & some sequences
  • For the envelop&tag get your Cute Companion CD Volume 1 from Crafters Companion
I had a great fun to use my Pro-markers. I'm in love with them. I think I got to get the 1st set too lol long time to go as I just got only 73 out of 148 well almost half. I bet by the time I get all there will be more colours to buy. I have used fixative for my chalk so when they handle it no one smudge it. I used Spray&Shine from Crafters Companion but you can buy cheep hair spray to fix it. I used my nesty to give a lovely shape to my image. The ribbon was a left over and it just came handy.
I bought these lime green sequences from 99p store it come with the little flowers and beads too.
Inside I used my sequences again and found a matching backing paper on my Cute Companion CD I just love this CD so versatile. I printed out a matching envelop and a tag to put on the present.

Recycling

I had enough of not finding my rulers or my other stuff so I decided to make a holder for them. Santa was good enough to me and got me the new set of Pro-markers Yeppy, so I thought I play with them. Picked some of my stamps I had no chance to use it and I stamped few out.

Just few close up of my colouring. Got to improve but I'm sure one day I'll be as good as the girls over the Passion for Pro-Markers Blog . I have decided to enter this holder on their challenge which is: anything but a card – Christmas or New Year theme, well mine is Xmas theme.

This is what I used. I bought these wrapping paper just before Xmas and I thought it's time to use them. Ah I didn't use mu popcorn I decided against it.

This is how my tins looking once I wrapped them in my chosen wrapping paper.

Alfie wanted to have a look and help me when I took the pic so I let him hold it. He was so happy. He even put his Yogurt covered blueberry's in it and eat it out from the tins lol

And here we go the decorated one. I love pingu but love owl too. I hope one day I can see you doing some recycling too.
