Xmas in July

Well I hope not lol At TT this week is Xmas theme set by my teamie Emma. I have mixed my challenges up and was getting ready for the next one when I checked just to make sure and I was in for a sock.  So big rush what to pick and what to make. I'm not the best of making Xmas cards lol especially if I had no time to design it lol, Well anyway I have decided next to a word book and then took it one step further (silly me lol ) so took me a while to make it. As you can see I made an other easel card sorry abt it but I just love them, what what others I've got up in my sleeve (1st got to get ink into my printer) Ok I shut up. Here is my card.
I have printed the base out. I just love these funky papers

Recipe
Digi Word Art from Create with TLC
Funky Fairy digi papers (shop closed down)
Beccy's Place: Rain dear digi
Joanna Sheen Enchanted Christmas CD
Snowflake punch
Water colouring pencil
Tim Holtz distress inks
Crafters Companion Spry&Ssparkle:Iridescent
Nestie
Bred

Well this is my 1st page of my book. This little digi was one of Paulette's from her shop. Although I'm not a believer I just adore this one well I do love Xmas. I have printed out twice, onto pink and plain white so I can colour the image.

My 2nd page&3rd page. The image is from Joanna Sheen's CD and again Paulette's digi WA. I was bit lazy to take my wizard out but then I realized the dies were not right for this anyway, so I tore it and distressed it. I've got this little cup digi what I have no idea where did I got it from so if you know it pls let me know so I can give the credit to the right person. I did punch out few snow flakes, coloured it and used my Iridescent spray sorry not showing. I try to add a better pic tomorrow morning. If I've got time as my friend and me we going to Ikea to get shelving system for my craft room woohooo
On the bottom the stoppers again Paulette's WA you just got to love her work.

I'm gonna enter this card to the fallowing challenges

Quick Bookmark

On Crafters Companion forum I do a bookmark swap, and it was Vintage. I love vintage it's right down my street. I feel very confy when I got to make vintage. I found a brill blog: Cora's blog Clearly Vintage and you see the most amazing Vintage photos, pictures and all free. I have to admit I didn't download all but I know in the future if I need a Vintage pic that's where I got to go. Pop over to her blog and see it yourself. It's Aladin's cave lol
Recipe
Printed lady from Clearly Vintage
Tim Holz Distress ink
Water colouring pencil
Gold string

So here is my bookmark

I didn't do much to the print out. I left a bit on the side when I cut it out then I masked it and distressed the edge. I printed a cropped little dress from the corner what I coloured then I mounted onto the bookmark. To finish it off I cut out an other piece of paper and attached it to the back, but before I glued it together I put the gold string between, end of the string I put the dress again what I mirror printed as well to be able to put them back to back. The dress was coloured again and I coloured the lady's hat's rim. And bookmark was done. It was a quick one but I just love it. Be honest I think few ppl gonna get this as a present ;-)

Fanky Hand DT call

I just seen this DT call on Teri's blog my team mate over Tuesday Taggers and Just Inspirational Challenge blogs. I thought I give a go as well. But I got to pick few of my favourite ones and the dead line is today. Aaaaaaahhhhh. Well I can think few of my creations what I love and was sorry to apart with and one whats proudly hanging on the wall in the sitting room.

Here is the 1st one: I love easel card and I made this as I never seen anyone making a triangle one.

The second is a wall hanging. The inspiration came from the Craft Stamper magazine. The butterfly is hand made out of recycled paper.

The third one is a peg set with magnet behind. This makes fab Xmas present.

The fourth is made out of printed paper and shrink plastic. I thought this needs two pick.

Fifth is this canvas which hang proudly on our wall. Got printed paper&sentiment as well as stamping and distressing.
The sixth is a set. I made the book mark not long ago and as it's a present I thought making the matching card but then I did not want to waist the masking I made an ATC to go with.

And my last one is this. Here I used a decoupage as well as stamps where I paper pieced.

I hope I didn't bore you.

Hang it all

Well Zoe at TT made me put my thinking cap on as canvas or hanging things not my comfort zone but I had a hell of a time making this (didn't go to bed till 4am today lol ). I didn't have canvas but did have these two a material and a cardboard.

I thought I make something out of these and here it is.

Mesi tore the big fish's tail of boohoo
Recipe
Material
Cardboard
Tim Holtz Distress inks
Shakura black gel pen
Crafters Companion Spray&Sparkle Multicolour
Paulette's digis from Create with TLC
Nesti
Pictures

Paulette yesterday was very generous. Gave us loads of freebies and a challenge to use the fish digi. Well came handy for my wall hanging, just goes soooooooo well what I had in mind. Ok I did do loads of resizing then masking but I have used my masking bits up too. The big fish was printed out then a plain paper with the sentiment on it was stick behind then I cut it out, hang on then I took it apart and cut out the fins (or how you say it lol ) and the tail and stuck it on my sentiment fish, I love the way big fish turned out. I have coloured the bits with Shakura gel pen then quickly run over it with a wet brush to look like grey AND in the end I sprayed it with Spray&Sparkle. Phew big fish is done. Such a little thing and so much work gone into it no wonder why I went to bed 4am lol.
Now the strip in the middle was coloured with my distress inks (boy lately I use it a lot ) after I cut out a little fish mask&big fish mask (no way I was cutting out more lol ) had to cut carefully as the negative was mask for spraying the fish with the Spray&Sparkle took me a while but it was worth it.
One of the pick got fish die cut background. I used the school of fish didgi but put twice next to each other, coloured it too and job done.
Now the sentiment. Hhhhhmmmm had an accident with it lol and had no energy at 3.30 to turn PC back and print it again. Well what happened. I printed something on a scrap paper and did not see bit stuck in, so put the next paper in to print "enjoy" cut it out rough and cut it with my nesti, me being blind  lol did not see the mistake, till I was colouring it lol by then I thought what a hack it's stays like that, and I do like it.

Few more picture

Sorry for my gobbing lol

Wags 'n Whiskers DT Call

Over at Wags 'n Whiskers there is a DT call. I did read the e-mail while I was on holiday but had only few things with me so I couldn't make a card. The closing date is today so I just hope I'm not too late. We were given a sketch.

And here is my on take of this sketch
Recipe
Beccy's digi stamps
Debbi Moore The Classical Elegance CD
Old book
Tim Holtz distress inks
Cosmic shimmer mist: Bronze
Water colouring pencils
Small circle punch
Doyle paper
Nesti

I had some leftover Debbi Moore printed papers what I thought would go well with vintage. I have distressed the edges of the printed papers. I took a page from the old book ( it was sitting outside at my nan's pace so I thought come with me I have to use you lol ) and I sprayed it with the bronze cosmic shimmer tore the paper to fit my card. My image was coloured with water colouring pencils, masked it to be able to distress it but down he line changed my mind and cut an other image out too to be able to decoupage it. The topper was sprayed with the bronze cosmic shimmer too (I've got only one but I love it, I think got to buy more lol ) I didn't want to use ribbon, I do have more than enough but just wanted to do something different and Beccy just done few strawberry didgis not long ago and I it's just goes so well with the image. I made some fake bread from the leftover paper what I punched out with my small circular punch and I did put gloss on it as well just to look more real like. My Doyle paper was too big so cut the edge of but as I said waist not so it's inside :-) I wrote Happy Birthday on the card.

And a matching ATC as well

For the ATC I cut papers out for masking and I just sprayed it with the bronze cosmic shimmer, the background just the leftover little papers, waist not lol

I have used the leftovers for inside
Few close up
You can see the shimmer on the left side of the picture

I'm chuffed

Paulette few days ago asked some suggestions for her word art/digi stamps. Well I suggested train WA as Adrian is a high speed driver and I don't find much of train sentiments well none at all. Ok I just got digi trains and one free download from Crafters Companion but they don't come with sentiment.
Made my day this set. This set was a present for me but you can buy the set here it's only $2.35 but if you have time and I do mean time (few hrs)pop over her blog and grab her freebies, there are plenty and I'm sure you will download more than 10. She just started to delete her old ones as her blog space full up and she doesn't one to have new blog so start from the beginning because it would be shame if you miss out on something. Go and have fun you wont regret it.

The 1st one is Paulette's free digi's. I have used 4 lady bug as we family of 4 lol. The "dad" letters and the backing paper is from Funky Fairy (unfortunately closed down) I have coloured the paper, the lady bugs and letters with my Tim Holtz inks.

Few more pic of the card

The 2nd is Bugaboo digi's ( I think lol)

Just before I left for my holiday I found this free digi and as Adrian is a big footy fan I thought it's brill. The paper is from Crafters Companion Men's collection but I used My Craft Studio to change the colour to red as he's Arsenal fan lol
I have used my water colour pencils and only bit of Tim Holtz ink
