Tuesday Taggers Challenge

This week at TT is swirls and curls. I didn't have time to make a card as I'm going on holiday tomorrow but had to make sure I don't miss this challenge (I will miss it the next 2 weeks)
I quickly went through my stash and I found this gorgeous paper and I found lovly peel off too. I stuck my peel off on a car and cut it out and stuck it on my base tag with glue gel put paper strip instead of ribbon and I curled it.

A quick card

This is an other simple card I made. Had a piece of backing paper and I love the butterflies on it so I decided to make a card out of it. I promised someone that I make few stamped image and will post it and I just made the card to say "Have Fun" to colour the images.
For the inside I used the same paper. I punched out and used it in an other card and I didn't want to waist it so I just cut out a little purple flower and used it to decorate the inside of the card.

My stripy friend

This is a very quick and simple card. I got sooooooooo many of these material that I thought it's about time to put it in good use. I had to make ATC , theme was Leo/Safari animals and this card is a matching card with one of the ATC I made.
And even simpler inside. I was blog hopping when I seen this lovely verse.

I play in the sugar bowl

For this week I play in the sugar bowl the theme was Ribbons & Bows

I used papers&ribbon from my stash and I do stamp image swap and I used one of my Sugar Nelly image. It's a simple card but I think the bow makes it really pretty.

I'm going mental :-)

I am going mental here. I'm trying to post and Alfie just tries everything to make sure I can't. I just wanted 10-15 min to do it instead took me 30 min to do it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

2nd Challenge at Crafters Companion

Second challenge at Crafters Companion. Rachel made this fab sketch and the theme is child/teenager/young adult, now that's gives you so much options. We going away next Monday so I thought I make a sort of "good bye" card what Alfie and Mesi can give to daddy.

This is my close up on my card, just to show you the layers.

I used:
I used the free download from CC
paper&ribbon from stash
and few gems
The free download was used as backing paper as well as topper. Under the train there is a hidden message. I used this rippled paper just to give an extra dimension to my card.
For inside I cut out trains from backing paper and stuck it on and made insert with the remaining paper.

Crafters Companion Challenge vs Coloure Creat Challenge

Before I'm too late for Crafters Companion Challenge I quickly made a card and combined it with Colour Creat Challenge.
I have used:
K&Co paper
a rose stamp from my Rose Flower Fairy by Crafters Companion
Tim Holtz Broken China ink
From my stash: blue/white paper, ribbon
flower&gem
gold embossing powder&gold ink

This is the 1st sketch for Crafters Companion Challenge and below is Coloure Creat Challenge Vintage white and blue.

This is the side view of my card so everyone can see the dimension and a rough idea what I done with the papers

I have fallowed the sketch which was really easy. As you can see I have used loads of blues. I made the K&Co paper's edge bit damp and I curled it back than I used the gold ink on the edge. Under the medallion I crumbled up the blue &white paper and slightly flattened it and after I used my gold ink and inked it so now where the paper is still got it's peak got gold ink on it.The topper was a stenciled image what I layered. To finish it of I embossed, painted and cut out the rose and stuck it on the top. I wrote on a piece of scrap paper "Thank you" and crumbled it up too and inked it with the broken china ink
I just carried the theme inside which is very simple.

Tuesday Taggers Challenge

This week at TT the theme is TEXTURE. What else could I use for this, well I got some textured wall paper so out come wallpaper and used it for my tag and for background. My father-in-law asked for anniversary card and I had to think hard to come up with something new. I decided to make tri shutter card as I never made one and.
I have used:
Creative Expressions:Swirl&Butterfly stamps
From my stash:flower, bred,gems,
peel off (mounted on card), jump rings,
ribbon, Sakura glaze pen & gold embossing powder
The sentiment is from the Butterfly stamp set
I have stamped out one big and two small butterfly what I embossed in gold than coloured with my Shakura glaze pen.
On the right side I stamped my big swirl and embossed it in gold too and decorated it with my gems.
The peel offs been mounted on scrap card and used my jump rings to hang it from my card.
In the middle of the card I put a little booklet with a verse and a place to write.

High Hopes Challenge vs Tuesday Taggers

This week At High Hopes Challenge we had to do loads of dots and Tuesday Taggers this weeks theme is to make something for your best friend. I don't have many dotty paper so I punched out one paper and put it over the greenish glittery background so it shows through. Top of it used K&Co paper and used Miss Zoe from High Hopes.
I coloured her with my Tim Holtz inks:
-Scattered straw
-Fired bricks
-Vintage Photo
-Peeled paint

The sentiment is from Crafters Companion Flower CD

I created the them inside as well. Took me ages to stick the leftover dots lol but I think it's really effective

An other old card I made for in-laws

I made this card last year for mother is law's request. I never told her how much was to make a copy of the photos she gave me, but it was worth every penny. My father in law called me to thank for the card. I kept the whole thing very simple (or maybe not lol).
I have used one of Joanna Sheen's CD(sorry can't remember which one)
Do craft's rose stamp
Spirellie punch
One of the Glitter Girls embossing board
Black mirror board and ribbon from stash
I made an A5 card and for the front made 2 booklet what I stuck on opposite direction so opening faces each other. The top booklet is slightly bigger than the bottom one. The top booklet is the wedding photos, the bottom one is Rob's favorite pic of Kath and Kath's favorite pick of Rob and their 25Th anniversary (wasn't last year lol). I have used my spirellie punch to make a comment.

Inside an other booklet the front pic is how they look now days and inside got the verse on a fold down booklet.
Because I love this card so much and could not decide whitch pis to use I used all the pictures what Rob made me.

One of my favorite

I made this card few years ago. My father in law asked for a birthday card for my mother in law.
Took me ages to make this card. I had to make a template 1st. I used two A4 card. I folded it in half and with a mirror board I stucked it together bit of mating and layering and decoration and inside's middle section was ready. On the sides I put pockets and I made tags for the verse, an empty tag to write on & few little tags with sayings on it. I used Crafters Companion Flower CD.
Now the front. I used the same papers for matting and layering as inside.
I love quilling. Gives you stunning effect once you mastered the basic coils. Just give a go, doesn't need to be a difficult one just do a flower first and punch out a vase or flower pot and and just go with your instinct.
For a finishing touch I made butterflys. I did struggle with it but it was worth it
As you can see I tried to mirror the two side. More or less I did sussed
As you can see the inside is is a wardrobe. I wonder why lol
From the hangers Happy Birthday is hanging down and in the side pockets you can see the tags.
