My DT project for TT and IACCCB and few more Challenges

I decided I add my card into few challenges as well. As I've been so busy lately and missed all my favourite challenges and found new ones as well but had no time to play along. Now my big job is out of the way (hopefully can tell you next week, either good news or bad one) so I can get back to normal well as normal as a crafter can be lol
So the challenges I enter this card:
Colour Create: The theme is pastel and Easter or spring. I think it's fits the bill perfectly
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Shaped card no square. Well this on is not a square one I can assure you lol
Stamp Something. Doodle something on the card. Well I added a bit of doodling for the butterfly.

This week was Pat's turn to chose the theme over at TT and it was bugs. I made a new shape of easle card, I believe nobody made a triangle easle before. I just wanted to see how it works and I think it works just fine. I definitely will make more of this. Infect in the morning I'm gonna have my friends over for a crafting session and we gonna make one (they don't know it yet lol). Sponsor this week is The Craft Barn and the stamp I used you can find it in the shop.
At IACCCB I asked everyone to make an Easter card.

Few close ups of my bugs and bottom decoupage. I love the butterfly it's so intricate.

Crafters Companion Peter Rabbit Cd & Celebration Cd

Inkadinkado rubber stamp: Mindscapes

Butterfly charm

Sugar Nelly stamp: Peek a Bunny

Shrink plastic

Fired Brick distress ink

Yellow stardust pen

Water colouring pencils

Bred from stash

I have made a template myself it's abt 15 cm high and 13 cm wide. I have printed onto one side then turned my paper and printed onto the other side. I printed my Peter Rabbit decoupage and I cut away the frame as I wanted to use it on the top separately and I think my decoupage still looks fab without the frame. The bugs stamped on see through shrink plastic and coloured with Fired Brick distress ink and yellow stardust pen. When I was shrinking my plastic while it was still hot I shaped my bugs be careful if you do it as it's still hot. I coloured my image with my pencils (I get on really well with my pencils lol) then I put the frame round it punched the bottom and fixed the charm with a bred.

DT call over at Pollycraft

Just gonna make this. Got abt 20 min before deadline. I though I make an other card using the other freebie digi image.
I thought paper piecing suited her just fine lol
Recipe
Pollycraft digi image
MS punch
Feather from stash
Papers from stash: dovercraft abstract prints
Nesties and tag die
Ribbon from stash
A brad from stash
Stick&spray
Purple&pink pro-marker
Water colouring pencils
White pen

I covered my 6x6 papers with stick and spray then attached it to an A4 paper what I was able to ran through the printer. I printed of a plain image as well. Coloured her with my water colouring pencils. I prefer to put the paint on my brash as I got more control over the colour this way. I coloured some bits on my paper with purple and pink pro-markers. The skul was highlighted with white pen.
I cut 5"x5" base and cut it round with my MS punch then I used my nesties to cut 2 other matching piece and placed my cute girl on top of that. Before I put my topper on I punched 2 holes where I thread the ribbon through. I have cut out 3x6 petals in 3 different sizes and put it together with a brad. To give a bit of texture I scrabbled the petals up. I use few feathers to finish it of and a tag.

My DT project for TT

Oops I forgot to post it. This week we had to alter something at TT. I had a huge project but did not buy gesso, I thought £8.99 or round it for abt 200 ml gesso is a bit too much, so I have to look somewhere else, well anyway as I had no basics for my other project I went along with this note book. I was going to do it anyway.
At Pollycraft there is a DT call and this cute duckie is one of their free image to used and to enter the DT call. So many people entered so the chances are slim but I give a go. They got FAB digis so pop over and have a look.
Receipt
Cheep note book
Pollycraft digi image
Ribbon from stash
Water colouring pencils
Liquid pearl acrylic paint
Paper flowers from Bearly mine
Background Paper&Tag from Bearly Mine
Red&white embossing table
Distress ink:Fired Brick
Flat pearl
My nesti
This is my book before
I have scrambled up my paper and used the white embossing powder 1st then I scrabbled up again and used the red one. I done this because I loved the paper but thought it's a bit to dark so I brightened it up. I covered my tag with my liquid pear acrylic paint. Before I attached my tag to the book I used this big ribbon to keep the book closed. The ribbon is big enough to do it up in the back if I want to. I coloured my duckie and cut it out with my nestie and edged it with my much loved distress ink. To finish it off I used these gorgeous paper flowers from Bearly Mine and few flat pearl.

My DT card for IACCCB

This week at IACCCB Rachel gave as this picture believe for inspiration plus it had to be gate fold. I do have to admit as I was in Hungary I used my Beatrix Potter freebie toppers and not Crafters Companion products.
Recipe
Beatrix Potter toppers
Spotty backing paper
Spotty ribbon
Glitter Girls swirl board
Printed paper flowers
2 A6 cards
My card is 2 joined up A6 cards. On the front I used the GG swirl board. Covered inside with the dotty paper then I used my swirl board again to help me to cover the front as well. Found some matching flowers what I put inside then bit of ribbon on the 2 side to finish it off.

Tuesday Taggers DT project

This week at TT Avril chose jesters/masquerade ball. I have picked my image from Elizabeth O. Dulemba's website. You have to go there and see her free images. Brilliant artist she is.
Recipe

Digi image from http://dulemba.com/index_ColoringPages.html
White&purple tissue paper
Gems&Glitter from stash
feather from stash
Liquid acrylic gold pearl paint
Purple kids paint
Pearly doodle
Gold pen
Skewer
I had few ideas how to make it but in the end I chose this option. On the top half I used my tissue papers with PVA glue. I left the white bit as it is but I used my gold pearl acrylic paint on purple what gave me this lovely shimmery effect. The bottom bit was painted with my purple paint and again I used my gold pearl acrylic paint on the middle section. You should see this gold pearl paint on black card, it's stunning. I coloured my skewer with my gold pen. To finish it off I added some gems, bit of glitter, pearly doodle for the swirls and feathers. Thanks Elizabeth for this brill mask it was great fun to decorate it.

My DT project for TT & IACCCB

Sorry I'm late with my post but still not 100% almost 2 weeks and I still got sore throat, fine in the mornings but by evening when I would have time to craft my throat killing me and don't feel like to do or make anything except sit on setti and watch telly plus got to pack our suitcase too, go away with kids to see my parents.
Anyway this is my approach of TT and IACCCB task. TT theme swirls and IACCCB Rachel's fab sketch. I was a bit naughty and combined my DT work lol
Recipe
Crafters Companion Popcorn stamp & sentiment stamp
MS punch
Fiskares texture plate
Tim Holtz distress inks
Liquid pearl
Wire&ribbon from stash
Acetate
I love popcorn soooooo much, getting the hang of the colouring, I coloured him with Tim Holtz distress inks. Took me hrs to finish this one. I was sitting over it and thinking whats missing. That's when I thought of the big swirl which is on the acetate with liquid pearl. I used my fiskars texture plate and inked it with my Tim Holtz distress ink, I'm in love with my distress inks at the mo, hardly can wait for the new colours can you believe 12 more colours.
