I recycled again

Over at TT this week challenge is Black, I never made anything apart black and white card lol So this week I challenge myself again. I had such a fun and an accident with acrylic paint, big blob wet on my trousers (so glad it was only home trousers and black lol) and a huge blob on the white table cloth lol BUT I was quick and the table cloth is saved, phew lol
Anyway here is what I made. From a pickle jar into my water colour pencil holder. The more I look at it the more I fell in love with it. I think got to make few more for my Shakura  pens. I was looking for a nice glass jar to keep my pencils in and that would've coasted me £3.50 this way nothing as I had everything. It is a simple and quick project

Recipe
Pickle jar
Mirri board
Black acrylic paint
Ribbon from stash
Paulette's free digi and WA
Fancy label die
Embossing plate

I have to say the  base was not my idea. It's from Craft Stamper magazine but there was a little chest made with this technique. First I cut few piece of mirri board to fit round my jar then put it through my Wizard to emboss it. After I embossed it I put a big blob of black acrylic paint and WAIT smudge it with your finger, never mind how your finger gonna look like lol after that you wipe it off gently with paper towel and woala the base is done. Before I stickied it on I painted with black acrylic the top and the bottom too. After it dried I stuck the mirri together and onto the jar. When I printed my horse I mirror printed it to be able to face them. When I had my horse I just thought I need something else and that's when I got my gold pearl acrylic paint once that dried too I Put the label on with antique gold twine and decorated it with ribbon. Oh yeah the ribbon on the side you got to put it on before hand as that's hiding where the mirri board attached to each other. I just love this metal effect. So Lyn aka Blackdragon thanks to make me learn a new technique.

Here is few more pick

And this is the back view
I hope I didn't bore you to much. I had a hell of a time making it. I will be recycle more and got a tutorial for one of my creation so just need a bit of time to blog it
