Hopefully I'm back

Hi pips, really sorry I went MIA. Me and crafting is not getting on to well. This year I hardly got any crafting stuff and I broke my beloved die cut machine which is not good but it's on my Santa's list lol
Still not in crafting mood but I have to make something to take my  mind off from an upcoming appointment. Let's put it this way I hope it's not the "C" word. Wont know results probably till mid January, so just got to stay strong and I try not to think of the worst.

So I thought I do I quick tag which is TT's challenge and I know I'm late for my DT project but It's good for mid week reminder.
I'm using High Hopes stamp, Santa is enjoying holiday and probably drinking Mojito but soon he's got to leave that behind and get to work lol

So here is my tag

I'll be entering this into High Hopes challenge where the theme is: Santa Clouse coming to town

Sorry abt the bad pics, got a new lap top and I'm still not comfortable using it and I still have to transfer my pic editing program too.

Take care everyone

Finally the Sun is out, although still a bit shy lol I know it's not gonna last though.
This fortnight at Try it on Tuesday the theme: "Angels&Demons" I'm sure this will move all of your brain cells well it did mine, so this one can be as dark as you want or as cute as you want there for mine is between lol
Yep I made an other bookmark lol My latest cookery book: Bread by Paul Hollywood, it's a lovely book and I do use it. I have decided I will make all kind of bread not just flat&pita bread, fuccacia and chapati, these are just the simple ones so I want to learn how to make bloomer and all the other difficult ones. Anyway onto my project as you know our sponsor at TioT is Dilly Beans and for this project my inspiration came from not less the the owner of Dilly Beans: Megan. I used Sugar Skull, I did like the way Megan tilted it and cutting bits of it but I doodled frame round it and I LUV how it turned out.

My second card is a High Hopes one and the theme there is "Summer Time". Watermelon means summer for me, I take it you guessed what stamp  I'm using, it's the sweet little stamp called  "Summer Sweetness" and a matchung sentimet to go with it
I cooperated this challenge with LIM where the theme is: "Hexagon" I have no die or template so I had to make my own, took me a while but I did it lol
I'm in love with this sweet stamp

That's all for now

A quick

I thought I make a simple card for Adrian's Dad for father's day from the kids. I have used High Hopes theme "Thank You" as it's from the kids I used the Tractor stamp.
So here is my quick card

OMGoodnes just realised I was in such a rush I missed spelled "Thank", I'm sure even my 6 yrs old son can spell that one correctly lol I better go and do something about it before anyone else see it :-)

I have to say I prefer the corrected card lol I cut out the miss spelled one and wrote behind the "Thank you" so it's stays one layer as I'd like to play along with LIM where the theme: "Need for Speed" and it's one layer week.
Here is my corrected card

Ok I better go and tidy my mess up and go to bed

Thanks a Melon!

Slowly slowly I need to do the thank you cards for the teachers, so High Hopes theme "Thank You" was a good excuse to start it. I decided I'll make very simple cards as I have to make abt 10-11 of them.
I have used the Watermelon Border stamp and the "Thanks a Melon" stamp

I'm really -really looking forward end of July when we go back to Hungary and we can eat as much sweet watermelon as much we can stuff into our face. I just not bothered to buy it in UK as it's tasteless. Hungarians do grow loads of watermelon as well as the other melons. I have to buy watermelon every morning as it never last lol

That's all for now

Keep looking Beautiful!

We got a new challenge over at Delicious Doodles this week we asked you to use one of Teri's framed flowers and if you don't  have one Teri kindly put up a  freebie so you can play along too.
So here is mine
The digi called: Fuchsia and the Hummingbird, the paper and the WA and the BP/DP is from Create with TLC
Once I coloured the digi I realised the WA is in the wrong place, I didn't want to waist my work and the gorgeous digi so I printed out again and I cut a fancy label which made the WA pop and gave the whole card a bit of unusual look as the labe over hangs a bit. The left over from the BP/DP been stuck inside

You have to pop over to DD Challenge blog and see the rest of the DT's gorgeous work and of course having a freebie provided you can't have ant excuse to play lol

Thank's popping by

Something for Daddy

I have to say time flies Father's day knocking on the door lol so I thought I'm gonna use the opportunity and use this fortnights theme over at Try it on Tuesday which is  "For the man " and guess what we got a fab sponsor for June: Dilly Beans I have used 3 images for my project: Me&Pops; Heart Monster 2 & Skellie bow
and here you go daddy's presie from the kids
I only coloured the heart on the little cute monster (who is really Mesi lol ) I do like it as it is but I might stitch red material on the heart, I see how I feel at the moment I'm fool of cold and not in the mood for stitching plus I messed up the other T-shirt so £6 just went down the drain

Make sure you pop over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT created
Off to watch telly and schedule this for 9am and cross everything it'll come on lol

Silly Billy

Alfie went to a Birthday Party and I made this card for the little boy, but I ended up keeping it as he picked up a card from the shop too. It's always handy to have a card in the stash for kids anyway.
Over at High Hopes the Divas given us a "Gate fold card" challenge
here is mine
The stamps are called Silly Billy, Party Donkey and Birthday Cake the DP/BP are from TLC Creations. I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna put anything inside yet as I love the paper so much
Here they are in close up. I hardly used these stamps yet, it's great fun to colour them

I'll be entering this card into the fallowing challenges:

That's all for now, off to prepare the food for BBQ now

Bit of up-cycling and few cards

Well I just had to use this huge washing powder box. I already had to pull it out from recycling as my OH chacked it away, he was shocked when he seen it in the house again lol I needed a storage for my magazines and he just told me why I don't through away the magazines I told him he's out of his mind lol
So here is the original box
And here is the finished box. Once I cut it to size (I even carved myself and my jeans too lol ) I put gesso on it then painted it with white acrylic and while it was still wet I added black then a small amount of brown what's not showing on the pic. Once it was dry I distressed the edges with Tim Holt's ink and printed  the Cogs corners from Delicious Doodles's shop and fussy cut it (took me hrs to do the four) stuck it on then die cut a label & done a charm with the found bits&bobs and hey presto it was done
At Delicious Doodles  this week the theme is Steampunk so make sure you pop over and check out the DTgirls fab creations
Just a close up on the front got a bit of glitter acrylic on it too
and my magazines in their place, I've got 2 yrs in there and still room for this yrs one

This little cutie is my TioT DT card wherewe given you this theme:On the Wild Side
This little cute digi is called Zebra&Foal and you can find it in the DD Shop. The BD stamp is LoTV. Got a bit of embossing on the side and I made that stomping on my embossing folder, yes I did stand on it so I just got partial print, then I inked it with TH ink
and here is the close up on the sweet image

This is my last card and I made this using High Hopes Silly-Billy stamp. It's been water coloured, glittered and used pearly doodles too. Embossed the background this time the normal way lol put the border and twine then diged out a BD ticket from stash and finished. This was a quick card though as it was the little boys birthday today and I forgot to make a card. Came very handy that HH theme for this fortnight challenge is CAS
Close up on Silly-Billy

That's all for now. Off to put kids to bed now
Take care

Stitched

It's bin a long time now since I done some stitching, so got my patterns out and I chose one to fit with Hight Hopes theme: CAS as well as LIM: Cats and/or  Dogs
It's taken me few hrs to do it but I love it. I cut out the inside of the frame and I stuck the HH stamp behind it. I just realised I only got a really small dog stamp and this is my only cat, no good I think I need to get some more HH stamps after fathers day is done lol
Here is a close up on my stitching, not perfect but I still love it

Off to put Alfie to bed now. Will be back in the morning with a new post

Magic

I've got an other card to show you. I made this for Alfie's birthday 2 weeks ago but I forgot to post it for High Hopes challenge then but as the theme is " One for the boys" I can post it now.
The digi is Harry Potter by Bugaboo and the owl well 1/2 is HH image. Obviously the owl is Hadwig ( I should know by now how to spell it but I don't sorry)

Here we go the birthday boy
Ok now you wonder why I've took a pic of my little family by someones grave, well it's Adrian's  great granddad grave in Preston and he is a WW 1 war hero who was awarded  the biggest/highest medal can be given the Victorian Cross. When Adrian talked abt to Alfie,  Alfie sad he wants to go and see the museum where his VC is, so that how we ended up in Preston for his birthday and we made a long weekend out of it. It was really nice
Little close what was named after him
Went to the Museum/ baraks where he was stationed and we were shown around, took us upstairs and got all paper work out from the archival AND had the honour to hold the Victorian Cross, it;s heavy lol
Kids were absolutelly having blast. We were the only visitors so when we were upstairs looking the documents they were left alone downstairs to craft and later they came up to look round, they behaved really well
I think Alfie really liked the hands on on stuff

Off to do my washing up, for some reason it did not go away in the last 2 hrs lol damn looks like there is no washing up fairy lol

Take care and thanks popping by

Spruced up

Over at DD we gave you the theme "Anything BUT a card" so I thought I spruce up one of my fav free bag (came with a mag) I take it I love it cos I've got the matching shoes to go with it, yeah I've got  a thing to have matching shoes and bag lol
I was going to make something else but my friend forgot to pick the T-shirt up from work so I had to go for plan "B"
and here is the end result
I've got this bag for abt 7 yrs now so it was time to rewamp it lol took me a while to stitch those flitters on but I love how it turned out. Few yrs ago I bought a special glitter what works on closing and I don't thing I have used them so I thought this was the perfect time to do so (they are wash proof )
I printed 2 skulls out and one of them is mirror printed so on the bag they face each other, I stitched chain in ther mouth and I just had to use my hand little angel what I costume made for this bag, have to have a goodie with the baddie lol

Before I get onto my next card here is a bit of mouth water shoe pastry filed with strawberry and whipped cream. I made this this afternoon. I don't bake as they never turn out the way they should but this one turned out fab and will make some little balls tomorrow with chocolate filing, just let's hope they turn out as good as this one

I made this for my father in lows birthday but forgot to blog it but thanks God Hight Hopes' this week challenge is "One for the boys" so I can post this
This old goat is so adorable, I just had to use it
